Carthaginian Command

Welcome

This blog is an opportunity for me to post some pictures of the 28mm Carthaginian army i have spent the last six months painting. This army contains 300 figures and is based to be used for Warhammer Ancients Battles. the color scheme is burgundy, tan and black. The bases are from Litko and are finished with plastic wood and some flock.

The painting was fairly simple. I blocked in the colors and then did an ink wash. If necessary a highlight was added.

Here is the army list:

General
Army Battle Standard
2 units of 28 African heavy infantry
2 units of 28 Spanish Scutarii
2 units of 36 Celt-ibereans
3 units of 10 Spanish Caetratii
3 units of 10 Numidian skirmishers
2 units of 14 Numidian light cavalry
2 units of 13 Spanish heavy cavalry
2 elephants

This army is meant to model Hannibals army during his Spanish campaign just before he invaded Italy.
